Frequently Asked Questions
What beverages can the Barpoint BP1410 dispense?
The BP1410 is primarily designed to dispense alcoholic spirits and still drinks.
Can I pour beer with it?
No - the Barpoint tap is not designed for beer, or other fizzy / carbonated drinks.
How many drinks can I use through the tap?
The Barpoint tap can be connected to up to 5 x different bottles.
What happens when the bottle is empty?
The Barpoint tap should not be run without liquid passing through the pump. When the bottle is empty, simply replace the empty with a full bottle of the same drink, press the appropriate dispense button and your tap will dispense effectively again.
How do I clean and maintain the tap?
Regular cleaning is essential for optimal performance. We recommend flushing the lines with clean warm water daily weekly. Simply connect a bottle of clean warm water to each line in turn, and run through the system. This should also be done when changing lines between different types of drinks.
What is the warranty period?
The Barpoint BP1410 comes with a 12 month manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and proper maintenance.
Is professional installation required?
While the BP1410 is designed for straightforward installation, we recommend professional installation to ensure proper setup and optimal performance.
What are the power requirements?
The BP1410 operates on standard UK mains power (230V), using a normal 3-pin plug (supplied fitted in the box).
Can I use this tap outdoors?
The BP1410 is designed primarily for indoor use in normal bar environments. We don't recommend outdoor installation due to the UK's damp climate, however if the tap is installed outdoors then it should definitely be kept out of direct exposure to weather (i.e. rain and sunlight). Note that outdoor installation may affect the warranty.
